How to start with cheating

Two step guide to preparation.

(Notice: To do this you need both Star Control 2: Ur-Quan Masters (from now on "game" or just "Ur-Quan Masters"  and Cheat engine installed. You can find them on these addresses: Game  and Cheat Engine )

First step: Start Ur Quan Masters. It has to be in windowed mode (NOT full screen!) . You'll see why in a few seconds. Choose new game (or load the game you already saved). You can watch starting video if you like, it makes no difference for cheating purposes. When you see your ship in star system, it's time for second step.

Second step: Start Cheat Engine. Find glowing icon that looks like magnifying glass over PC. Click on it. You'll see list of processes. Find one named uqm.exe , click on it then click on "Open" button. Screen won't change much, but the button will stop glowing and some buttons will get enabled. Find check box 32-bit and click on it.

There you have it. Now you are ready to unleash the power of cheats!
