Fifth cheat: More landers!

Now, the reasons you would want to use this cheat could be following:

1) you hate going to base to replace lost landers

2) you think to use landers to get to RU's by selling them (like from the version 1.0 which all the other cheat sites say you can use.

Whatever the reason, here's how you get your hands on a lot of landers:

1) Go to base. Menu Equip starship.

2) Scan for 1 in Cheat engine if you have 1 lander. Or scan for whatever the number of landers you currently have.

3) Either sell or buy another lander and scan for a new number of them.

4) Continue repeating step 3 until you get single address (it should be green but colour is unimportant)

5) Double click on address then change the value to some bigger number (say 50). Buy or sell another lander and watch the fireworks.

Or just go here.

That's it! You now have as much landers as you want. I don't advise you freezing the address though.

Notice: There is also cheat that allows you to set the number of lander crew when landing on a planet. It doesn't work, but I provided address anyway. Freezing the number of crew doesn't give your lander immortality, only crashes the game.

Fourth cheat:Unlimited crew

This cheat will allow you to have as much crew as you wish, but will not provide you with immortality. Although you'll have as much crew as you like during trade and travel, it will return to the max number of crew-members+1 during fights. That's the reason why crew quarters are needed in your ship modules.

Since this cheat doesn't provide you with immortality, what does it provide you with? Well, it allows you as much crew as you want for trading with Druuge but, more importantly, it gives you ability to evacuate from fight and replenish your fighter's health. Here's how to accomplish that:

1) Go to base. Menu Shipyard.
2) Insert current number of crew members into Cheat Engine (it works only for your main ship, so input that number) and search for it with First/New scan.
3)Buy or sell one crewman (or crew-woman). Search for new number with Next scan.
4) Repeat step 3) until you get single address (it will probably be green)
5)Double click on it until it goes to lower portion of Cheat Engine window.\
6) Insert new number of crew-members. You'll notice that it changes when you buy or sell another crewman (probably sell).

I don't advise freezing this address, since it's system address and changes during game processes (specifically, fight :( ) so you have great probability that game will crash.

Third cheat: Unlimited Fuel

How to get as much fuel as you want and/or not to use any.

Do everything from getting started guide. Now, first you'll learn how to get as much fuel as you want.

First cheat: Lots of fuel

First step: Go to your base to equip your ship. Fill your fuel tanks to the max. If you don't have any fuel tanks, the max would be 10. DON'T LEAVE THE BASE OR THE FUEL MENU!
Second step: Go to cheat engine and scan for the amount of fuel multiplied by 100. In this case it would be 10*100= 1000, so scan for 1000. You'll get multiple addresses.
Third step: Sell one unit of fuel in Ur Quan Masters. Scan for 900 (in our example. Your number might be different) in Cheat Engine.
Fourth step: Double click on single address to lower it into working part of Cheat Engine.
Fifth step:Change the value to how much fuel you want (multiplied by 100) and tadda, you have that much fuel.

You can now sell it or do anything else with it (like using it for travel). But there's better way, the one that doesn't use any fuel tanks because you don't use any fuel to travel. Here's how.

First to Fourth step: Same as above.
Fifth step: Click on freeze by the side of address. The value will not change now, which means that you'll travel for free.

To be safe, unfreeze it when travelling to Quasi-space and landing on the planet(s). Those things always use up the fuel and there's certain risk that the game will crash. Also, make sure you always have at least 20 fuel when travelling to Quasi-space.

That's all there is to it. Have fun.

Second Cheat:Melnorme Credits

If you followed this guide, you have plenty of RU, but the starting equipment you can buy is not very much. The only way you can buy better is to do business with Melnorme (go to biggest stars on starmap and they'll be there), but they don't trade with RU. They trade with special credits, that you can earn via killing creatures or by finding rainbow worlds.
It is impossible to hack credits directly. However, it is possible to hack biological data. Here's how to do it the easiest way.

1) In your base, buy all thrusters and engines, with some weapons and at least two fuel tanks (unless you use this unlimited fuel cheat) and at least two crew quarters. Two extra landers won't come amiss, as well as some more ships. Fill the fuel and crew to the max. You'll do some space travel soon, so yes, this is needed.
2) Fly your ship to Pluto (unless you already have. Hope you were nice to the alien there :) ), land, talk to alien and be nice to him :) until he gives you password (Fluffy-Wuffy-Muffy or something) and joins you.
3)Go to starmap, and find Epsilon Gruis (241.6:368.7) and go to first planet (that's Spathiwa, Spathi homeworld). Be nice to any enemy of Spathi species, use "This is embarrassing, just let me go." or similar option to get there without fighting.
4)Go to moon of the planet, the leading guys are there. Give them password, be nice and accept to rid them of their problems.
5) Go to planet, scan it and land (not too close to green blobs). Do First/New scan in CheatEngine for 0 (zero), shoot the creature in Ur Quan Mastersand pick up the grey/green residue that stays behind them. Do Next scan for 1. It will usually be more than one address, so keep repeating this (shoot the next one, pick up residue and search for 2, 3, 4, 5,6 etc) until you get single address.
6) Double click on address until it goes to lower part of Cheat Engine window. Change the value to some big number (has to be less than 100.000 and you mustn't have more than 150.000 biological data in ship. I'll explain why later.) Shoot another creature, pick up and press shift to get lander back to ship. Dispatch lander again and shoot the rest of the creatures. Once done, go back to the big guys on the moon and tell them you did it. They'll ask you to get back later. Go back immediately, threaten them and force them into alliance with you.
7) Now, fly back to Sol, buy some more fuel then fly to Alpha Centaury. Find Melnorme ship in the system and talk to them. Don't ask them why their bridge turned purple. They'll offer you to sell and buy things. Sell biological data. You'll get a lot of credits. Buy all upgrades from Melnorme you can get your hands on.

That's it.

Notice: Now, the reason why you shouldn't have more than 150.000 (sometimes 250.000) biological data is this: Melnorme credits go only to 500.000, and you usually get 3 or 2 for each unit of data. Once your credits go over 500.000 they start again and sometimes Melnorme will accuse you of cheating ;) when that happens. The reason for this is because you'll never need more than 140.000 credits during game and the response why their bridge turned purple is not programmed. Albeit they ask for 12 million credits, there's no way you can ever get as much. So don't try, because I already did and failed :).

First cheat: Unlimited RU

Resource Units(RU) are used to buy ship modules, fuel, crew and to build your armada of smaller ships. At the start of the game, you have none of them (RU's that is) but that is not much of a problem because you don't have a base in which to do all those wonderful things mentioned above either. So you have to find one.
Good news is, there's one just waiting for you in orbit around the third planet (which you should recognise as Earth, only it would be red when you get close). Bad news is, they are screwed and are waiting for supply ship for the last 8 years. So, before you can use it, you have to do a little quest for them. (P.S. If you loaded from a save and have already done the first quest for the good star-base captain, you can skip first two steps, because you already have a base). So, here it goes. :)


First step:

Fly your ship to Earth, talk to probe then land on orbital station (not the Moon and not the planet!). Be polite and sincere when talking to the captain and accept to help him with his troubles
(Spoiler: they have replicators on board but need radioactive isotopes to power them).

Second step: Go to Mercury (the first planet, closest to the sun), auto-scan the planet, dispatch lander closest to the red and orange blobs, get over two or three of them (you might get hurt there, since earthquakes and fire damage your lander. Try to avoid them.), press shift to get lander back to the ship, choose navigate and go back to station. Save, talk to the captain, unload the isotopes. You'll have to fight enemy ship at this point, choose the little white one for it (you fire weapon with Right Ctrl) and blast it to pieces. Talk to the captain and huray, we have the base now :).

Third step (The Tricky Part also known as the reason why you are reading this blog/site) :

Now that we have the base, there are multiple ways we can get to RU's now. We can sell fuel, landers and crew, which is all time consuming. Or we can offload mining resources, which is much less so. This way shows you how to do it by offloading mining resources. There are three ways to do this (four if you go here), but all of them involve landing on the planet, some magic mojo, getting of the planet, going to the base and offloading minerals. Now, magic mojo is what you are obviously interested in. The ways you can do it are as follows: Safe and incredible slow way, the faster and insanely dangerous way and the fastest, waiting but still safe way.

First method: (safe but incredibly slow way)

1) Go to Moon, scan it, land on it, kill everything that moves but don't go near the building and don't pick any ore (if you do pick it, just press shift to get back to mother-ship to unload it).
2) Having made moon safe, dispatch your lander again.
3) Go to Cheat Engine, enter "0" (zero:) ) and click on First scan button. You'll get bunch of "physical addresses" on the left side of CE screen.
4) Pick up lump of metal , noticing how much you picked (For example, you picked big lump which is 14 pieces or close to). Enter that number (14 in our example) into Cheat Engine and click on Next Scan (not New Scan!).
5) You should now get only one address on the left side of CE screen. Double click on it. It will show on the bottom of the CE screen. Double click on the value to change it. Put some big number on it, for example 50000 (it has to be less than 250000. Don't ask me why :)). Go to Ur-Quan Masters window, pick up another blob of metal (if you can) then press Shift to get back to ship.

Congratulations, you now have 50.000 (or whatever number you entered) of the resource you picked. It won't say anywhere that you do (it will in your cargo bay but to learn how to do that, see Q&A) but believe me, you really do. You'll now notice one thing: If you look at Cheat Engine after the moment your lander returned back to ship in Ur-Quan, the value would have changed from 50.000 to 0 (zero, or maybe 16, or some other number). If you dispatch the lander again, the number will be zero again. You can change it in Cheat Engine again and when you press shift the value will be added to your cargo. Repeat as many times as you want but try not to go over million RU's, because you'll need a lot less than that (each unit of moon minerals is worth 3 Ru's). When you have enough minerals, go to base, offload them and you have your RU's :).

The problem: Unloading takes forever. Since moon minerals are worth only one RU each, you'll need 333000 of them to get near million. To counter the problem, you can either press Ctrl during offloading (and lose the fun of watching RU going up) or you can use method number two.

Second method:
1) Go to Moon, kill the robots, pick up as much ore as you can and go to building on it.
2) Go to your base, offload minerals, buy some fuel and crew then leave.
3) Go to Pluto (last planet, very small purple one. This is old game, made while Pluto was still considered planet). Scan it. Dispatch your lander, not too close to purple mineral.
4) Press the New Scan/First scan button in Cheat Engine (scan for 0 /zero). You'll get bunch of addresses again. Pick up the purple blob and do Next scan (!) for 5 (since you just picked 5 tzo crystals). Double click on single address until it copies to lower part of Cheat Engine screen. Change it to 20.000 (or some other big number less than 250 thousand), go to Ur-Quan window and press shift to go back to ship. You can explore Pluto now, safe in the knowledge that you now have 20.000 tzo cristalz instead of 5. They are worth 25 RU's each when you get to your space station.

P.S. Be polite and friendly (but not the coward!) to any aliens you find on Pluto. They are essential for Melnorme credits cheat.

P.P.S. Any time you land on any planet, the number in Cheat Engine will change to zero. If you need more tzo crystals, land on any planet (I prefer the Moon, since it is closest to the station and is pretty safe), change the value in Cheat Engine and press shift in Ur-Quan window to put that value in your cargo.
P.P.P.S. I know that Moon is not planet, but since you can't land on Earth it is the closest celestial body on which you can land.

And finally, the third and fastest possible way to get your hands on a lot of RU fast (besides the one described here)

The third way (Not recommended!)

1) When you land on Mercury while doing mission for station captain, do the first scan in cheat engine for 0. When you pick the first blob of material (red or orange one), look for the quantity you picked in Cheat Engine with Next scan(!) . Double click on the singular address until it goes to the bottom of the Cheat Engine screen, then quickly go to Ur-Quan window and press shift. Now, you are back on the ship with a couple of crew man missing (as mentioned above, Mercury is hostile planet and fire damages your lander, at least for now). You don't want to lose lander at this point of the game, else you are pretty much screwed.
2) Land quickly on Mercury, change the value in Cheat Engine to some big number (say 20000 or 50000), go quickly to Ur-Quan window and press shift.

Congratz, you now have as much radioactive isotopes as the number you entered. Go to station and you are now rich man. Radioactive isotopes are worth 8RU a piece. I really don't recommend this method.
